  • Main caption: A platinum debut LP (Let's Get It Started) for Capitol Records' M.C. HAMMER is all part of the rapper's plan to build a musical empire in his hometown of Oakland. M.C. HAMMER and his Posse have shaped "Oaktown" into a force to contend with. Recently a "posse" of press were junketed to the Bay Area to report on the burgeoning music scene and to see HAMMER in his own environment. Upper left photo caption: The apartment where M.C.
